Envoy Fire conducted a battery fire extinguishing drill at ISAF 2025.

The company shared the following statement regarding the event:

"Electric vehicles, energy storage systems, and mobility solutions are redefining not only energy efficiency but also safety in the world of the future. However, the lithium-ion batteries at the heart of this transformation can cause fires that are extremely difficult to control with conventional methods when damaged or improperly managed, due to chain reactions known as thermal runaway.

"Developed to eliminate this critical risk, Envoy Fire systems demonstrated the power of its technology in the field during a live battery fire extinguishing demonstration organized by FMG Fire at the ISAF 2025 Exhibition on Wednesday, October 8. In the test conducted using a real battery, the thermal runaway reaction was successfully contained and the fire was completely extinguished.

"At the demonstration area, everyday technologies such as scooters, drones, cordless vacuum cleaners, and laptops were showcased alongside real batteries. With this setup, Envoy Fire emphasized that lithium batteries pose potential hazards not only in industry but also at home, in offices, and in public spaces. This served as a strong reminder to visitors that battery safety is not only an industrial issue but also a matter of everyday life safety."

"Thermal runaway in lithium-ion batteries is a chain reaction that begins with a rapid temperature rise and is extremely difficult to stop using conventional fire extinguishers. Envoy Fire’s special formulation not only suppresses the flames but also interrupts the internal reaction within the battery, completely halting the chain reaction. As a result, the fire is fully contained with no risk of re-ignition."

MULTI-DIMENSIONAL SAFETY TECHNOLOGY

It was stated that Envoy Fire solutions have a wide range of applications—from electric vehicles to industrial energy storage facilities, from logistics centers to the defense industry. In the automotive sector, a new safety standard has been introduced for managing battery-related risks in electric vehicle manufacturers, R&D centers, and service networks. In the energy sector, the safety of critical infrastructures such as solar power plants, energy storage systems, and all industrial areas containing lithium batteries has been ensured. It was also noted that the system provides reliable solutions in high-risk environments, from mobile energy systems in defense and industry to production lines.

FROM ENGINEERING TO SAFETY STANDARD

Developed by the company’s engineering team, the system offers a customizable structure adaptable to vehicles, facilities, or storage units, providing a versatile safety standard across industries. Envoy Fire CEO Ferhat Bozkurt made the following statement after the demonstration:

“Safely controlling real battery fires is one of the most critical safety milestones of the electric future. Demonstrating this live at ISAF 2025 was a turning point for us. As Envoy Fire, our goal is to make this technology widespread across all risk areas—from automotive to energy storage.”
